What’s In A Name?
“I’m often asked about the name of my gallery. It generates so much interest and conversation. People seek purpose and meaning in all things, and so did I, albeit subconsciously, when I chose the name ‘Gallery 11:11’. The symmetry of the numbers 11:11 were omnipresent in my daily life. They followed me everywhere and I couldn’t fail to notice the recurring significance. The parallelism of the four lines aligned with my vision for building an art community with common objectives. In numerology, people influenced by the number ‘11’ find inner strength in times of trial and crisis. I opened the gallery three months before the global pandemic, so retrospectively, the name couldn’t have been more appropriate.
Gallery 11:11 is a space where individuals can connect, collaborate, and create together in a gallery purpose built to inspire, focus and sustain Artists, while facilitating a meaningful and deeper connection with an audience.”

Gallery 11:11, established on September 28, 2019, in the serene suburb of North Epping, Sydney, Australia, features a thoughtfully designed space that emphasizes sustainability and natural light. This versatile venue seamlessly hosts diverse exhibitions and creative events, fostering connections, collaboration, and creativity among its visitors.
The mentors at Gallery 11:11 are dedicated to delivering structured, skill-based guidance to students, cultivating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that inspires each artist to embark on their individual creative path.
Each exhibition is carefully curated to offer a holistic experience, respecting the artist’s vision while deepening the audience’s engagement.
Exhibitions are designed to be a holistic encounter for both the Artist and the audience. Special care is taken to honour the Artist’s vision and the audience’s experience.
About Exhibitions
Artists are selected to exhibit each month of the year based on their unique art practices. The Artist’s influences and methods are presented to the audience to provide insight into the many processes involved to exhibit a body of work. This process is different for every Artist and the audience is invited into conversation with the Artist so they can understand and appreciate the Artist’s vision and creative approach to their work.
Each month, a range of small local business are approached with the offer to collaborate with the Artist for the duration of the exhibition. These businesses are chosen for their complementary nature.
Gallery 11:11 believes in making art accessible to the public, to be shared and appreciated for both its aesthetic appeal and intrinsic value. To that end, the gallery supports both emerging, experienced and established Artists, to foster inclusivity in both the creative and wider communities.
